Abstract

PURPOSE: To achieve a favorable efficiency of cascading even when a trouble occurs in some separators by a method wherein pressures in feed, product and waste headers are set to be approximately equal to each other, in a separating device wherein a plurality of gas separators are cascade-connected through headers.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of gas separators 5 are connected in parallel by three headers, that is, the product header 6, the feed header 7 and the waste header 8 to constitute one stage. The separators 5 are connected to the headers by connecting pipes 9, 10, 11, and a plurality of such stages are cascade-connected in series to achieve a required degree of concentration. In this case, the pressure PSF in the feed header 7, the pressure PSP in the product header 6 and the pressure PSW in the waste header 8 are so set as to satisfy the conditions of PSP- PSF<0.1PSF, PSW-PSF<0.1PSF.
