Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance coke quality as well as to effectively utilize a recovered fine powder as an auxiliary fuel for a shaft furnace by prelimiarily sorting and removing a fine powder coal part of coal for coke production.
CONSTITUTION: Coal taken out from a coal yard 1 is crushed in a crushing process 2 and the coal which is sorted according to particle sizes by each brand is stored in a compounding tank 3 to prepare a compounded coal with a predetermined ratio by using a constant feed ware and, subsequently, the compounded coal is dried in a dryer 4. A part of the compounded coal can be transported in a molded coal producing installation 5 through a bypass passage. In the dryer 4, a fine powder coal not adequate for coke making property is sorted and extracted by a draft power classification or the like to be sent to a dust collector 6 along with hot air and, on the other hand, a crude particle coal is subjected to dry distillation in a coke oven 7 and, thereafter, charged into a shaft furnace 15 from a furnace top thereof. The fine powder coal recovered from the dust collector 6 is stored in a transport bin 8 and, thereafter, is blown into the shaft furnace 15 as a substitute of a liquid fuel from a tuyere thereof by a transport installation 10 through a blower 9, a coal storage tank 11, a transport installation 10' a receiver 12 a feed tank 13 and a distributor 14.
