Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the precision in detection by reading a signal which is written on a storing medium that is relatively displaced interlocked with the displacement of the system of machine in a recording sensor used for detecting the position of machine and tools or the like. CONSTITUTION:A storing medium 1 consists of magnetic substance of the dram shape, with its shaft 10 mounted in the center. The shaft 10 is supported by a casing and connected with the system of the machine, the object of measurement. A read/write device 2, in which the magnetic heads 2a-c are set in an arrangement of standing in a row in the direction of the axis line of the medium, is fixed to the casing. The medium 1 like this is written with signal at seven places corresponding to the rotation of the shaft 10, and corresponding binary codes can be read out. The above-mentioned sensor A is mounted on a revolving shaft 41 that gives linear movement to a detecting head 40. The position of the head 40 is measured using a laser measuring machine B or the like and written in the sensor A. At the time of operation, if measuring machine B is removed, it is possible to detect the position or the displacement of the head 40 by a read signal of the sensor A with a high precision.
