Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized, compact lens barrel which is operated manually even when an automatic focusing device is disabled to operate, by forming a focusing lens group into a lens barrel whose operation is enabled by manual selective switching. CONSTITUTION:For manual focusing operation, a manual focusing operation member is rotated around an optical axis while the head of a lock member 38 is depressed, disengaging the bent part 38a of the lock member from a notch 25b2. Through the rotation of the manual focusing operation member, the 1st lens holding member 32 rotates by an engaging means for a longitudinal groove 20c inside of the an operation member 20 and a pin 32a stood on the 1st lens holding member 32, and at the same time, it moves in an optical-axis direction by the lead of the helicoid 31b of a helicoid ring 31. During this manual focusing operation, the 1st cam member 29 is disengaged from a recess part 20b having a ball 30 on the internal circumferential surface of the operation member 20 and falls into a V-shaped groove 29d, so that the cam member is fixed to a subordinate barrel 25.
