Abstract

PURPOSE: To cause a wiper blade to operate over the entire surface of a mirror by a method wherein an elastic wiper blade is connected between a pair of shafts provided at the outside peripheral part of a mirror surface and is placed along the peripheral part, and the shafts are alternately rotated repeatedly.
CONSTITUTION: The shafts 12, 13 are provided at the peripheral part of the mirror surface 8 of the rear-view mirror 9, the wiper blade 7 is fixed to the outside parts of the shafts 12, 13 and gears 5, 6 are fixed to the inside parts of the shafts 12, 13. The gear 5, 6 are repeatedly rotated by a motor 10 through gears 1, 2, a rod 11 and gears 3, 4. The gears 3, 4 are provided with notches to rotate the gears 5, 6 alternately. When the gears 5, 6 are alternately rotated, the wiper blade 7 is moved to the opposite side while being curved. In addition, when the gears 5, 6 are rotated repeatedly, the wiper blade 7 is moved repreatedly. Accordingly, materials ahdered to the mirror surface 8 can be removed.
