Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a test paper having an excellent quantitative property, by providing a hydrophilic colloidal layer containing a chemical reagent and a porous fibrous carrier layer permeating the components in a fluid sample into said layer through a middle layer containing no reagent, on a light transmissible and liquid impermeable supporting boby. CONSTITUTION:A hydrophilic colloidal layer of gelatine or the like containing a chemical reagent is coated on a transparent liquid impermeable supporting body made of polyester, etc. in an automatic analysis of the body fluids, especially components in blood. Next, an element for analytical test is made by providing the colloidal layer of gelatine containing no reagent on said layer as a middle layer and a porous fibrous carrier layer such as filter paper deal with calendering treatment. A sample of body fluids is dropped on the surface of this element and the density of coloring matter brought out the color by reacting the component permeated into the reagent layer with the reagent after incubation. Thus, the analysis is carried out sharply with a small amount of sample, about 10mul. Transferring of the reagent to the carrier layer is prevented by the middle layer and a quantitative property is improved.
