Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve a mechanical accuracy and to keep a space between a rolling mill and a bed constant, by replacing plain bearings and sliding contact parts with ball bearings and rolling contact parts.
CONSTITUTION: A supporting center 151 of an arm 15 is positioned higher and nearer to a rolling mill 2 than a shaft supporting part at the side of a bed 14. Accordingly, when a supporting frame 11 moves vertically upward by a lifting mechanism 10; the arm 15 rotates counter-clockwise, that causes the bed 14, to move in the direction of being farther from the mill 2 at the beginning, and then to change its direction so as to approach the mill 2. In case the bed 14 moves downward, it moves inversely. Thus the lifting mechnism 10 of this device moves only vertically, and the bed 14 moves only backward and forward parallelly in the direction of workpiece transferring. From this reason, all plain bearings and sliding contact parts are replaced with ball bearings and rolling contact parts, and then the bed 14 moves smoothly.
