Abstract
PURPOSE: To mold a food having the same hardness and shape as those made by a hand easily, by compressing the food between two belts to a given thickness, extruding the compressed food through a passage, cutting the extruded food to a given length by a cutter plate, and molding the cut food in a molding mechanism.
CONSTITUTION: A cooked rice is introduced into a hopper 5, dropped by a belt 9 to a belt 4 and compressed by the belt 9 moving in the direction (B) and the belt 4 moving in the direction (A) to give a given thickness. The rice is extruded through a passage 11 of a gate plate 10 into an extruded material of rectangular cross section and moved on the belt 4 in the direction (A).
