Abstract

PURPOSE:To match a background picture automatically, by making the adjustment of trimming and degree of fog for the background picture electronically and automatically in following to the change, when the pickup range and angle of a front scene pickup camera are changed. CONSTITUTION:Frequency elements relating to repetitive frequency of stripe pattern is picked up from a pickup output signal of a chroma-key panel 20 of stripe pattern in which almost the same hue of dark and light color stripes are presented and the dark and light color stripes are respectively made to specified width and located alternately and repetitively, by means of camera controllers 12A, 12B and 12C. An extension control signal generator 19 generates an extension index control signal and an extension position control signal which determine the magnification and shrinking rate based on the extracted frequency element. The control signal is applied to a picture processor 18 to insert a picture matching the size on a screen.
