Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a desiccating agent which has strong adsorptivity at ordinary temp. and low humidity, is high in the rate of adsorption and lasts long by contg. alumina and calcium components in combination in neutral zeolite which is an essential component, as a desiccating agent.
CONSTITUTION: Alumina of α type, β type, etc. of aluminium oxide and calcium components such as calcium oxide are added to natural zeolite which is an essential component, and the mixture is granulated and calcined to prepare a desiccating agent. This desiccating agent has strong adsorptivity at ordinary temp. and low humidity, is high in the rate of adsorption, lasts long, is highly safe and is inexpensive; therefore it is adaptable to food, drugs, etc.
