Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable white balance adjustment simply at every pickup, by inserting a white color transmission and diffusion plate for white balance adjustment provided in a camera main body into a pickup light flux in interlocking with a power supply switch. CONSTITUTION:A power supply is being disconnected at the OFF-position where an operation button 17 is at upper stage, and a white plate 33 is in an optical axis (e) to interlink the light flux. Next, when the operating button 17 moves to an AWB location at the middle stage, the power supply turns on and the white balance adjusting circuit is operated at the same time. With this state, the light passing through a lens passes through the white plate 33 without fail and reaches an image pickup plane of an image pickup device to provide white color information for the white balance adjustment. When the operating button 17 further moves to be the ON-position, an operating projecting 23 also moves toward the direction (a) and a pin 34 is pressed down toward the direction (b). Thus, the white plate 33 moves toward the direction (c) to be a position of the alternate long and two dash lines which are out of the light flux and the white balance adjusting circuit is turned off to realize pickup state.
