PURPOSE:To improve a rate of correction of time display in an electrochromic (EC) displaying part of a clock at the time of time correction by reducing a width of pulse for writing and erasing operation in the EC displaying part so as to turn more tight than that used at an ordinary time display. CONSTITUTION:As a changeover switch 48 for correction mode is turned on, an action of erasing for an EC displaying part 28 is effected for 0.5sec when a timer circuit 74 is removed from reset condition, and the luminance of display is reduced down to about a half. Next, a needed correction time is input into the part 28 with a keyboard 52 operated, then, a corrected time is written in respective counters 18, 20, 22, 24 which stand for hour, minute, a.m. and p.m. respectively. At this time, through an output of the circuit 74 continuing for 0.5sec, the display, which has reduced its luminance as the switch 48 was turned on, is erased with erasing pulses having more tight pulse width, and the display of which its degree of coloration is more light than that at an ordinary time display is carried out with the pulse for write-in having more tight pulse width than that at an ordinary time display.
