Abstract

PURPOSE:To control a dimming value with simple constitution and decrease the influence of noises by providing a converting part converting the electric current signal supplied from the outside to a corresponding voltage value and controlling the same. CONSTITUTION:When an electric power source switch 2 is closed, charging of a trigger capacitor or the like is started via a DC-DC converter 3. When a trigger circuit 5 is operated in the state wherein charging is completed, a flash discharge tube 6 emits light. On light emission of the tube 6, a voltage generating circuit 8 operates and by receiving the reflected light from an object, a photosensor 9 flows photocurrent according to the quantity of the detected light. This photocurrent is accumulated in an integrating capacitor 11. The terminal voltage of the capacitor 11 is supplied to the non-inversion input terminal of a comparator 10, and when it attains the voltage value converted from the suction current signal and supplied to the inversion input terminal of a comparator 10, the comparator 10 controls the light emission of an electric discharge tube 6 through a control part 7 for quantity of light. With such constitution, the dimming value is controlled by the simple constitution and noises are decreased.
