Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an optimum cooking time by a method wherein a menu selecting section an amount setting section, a senser section for detecting vaporized substances and a cooling condition setting section for a foodstaff to be cooked are provided in an electronic range or the like and the cooking time is controlled by a combination of the outputs of these sections.
CONSTITUTION: When the menu, the cooking condition and the amount of foodstaff are set by an operation section (not shown), the outputs of the menu setting section 26, the cooking condition setting section 27 and the amount setting section 28 are inputted to a level setting circuit 29 and a senser output reference setting signal at an optimum cooking time is operated and is inputted to a comparison circuit 30. Further, as cooking advances, the vaporized substances generating from the foodstaff are detected by a senser 1 and a signal generated from the senser section 25 is inputted to the comparison circuit 30. As a result, the cooking is performed up to the optimum cooking point by being controlled through a drive circuit 21, a timer circuit 31 and a switching section 22 so that the cooking time is optimized.
