Abstract

PURPOSE: To minimize system downs by providing each of a habitually used cooling pump and a spare cooling pump with a trouble detecting device so that a trouble may be detected at an early stage to change over between the habitually used cooling pump and the spare cooling pump.
CONSTITUTION: If a light trouble condition is determined at step S24 of a backup program 11, a heavy trouble is judged at step S25. If it is determined at step S25 that a heavy trouble has occurred at a habitually used cooling pump, the pump is stopped at step S41. A spare cooling pump is then run at a next step S42. And if no light trouble is determined at step S43 for a trouble detecting device, and then if no heavy trouble is determined at a next step S44, then the spare cooling pump is continuedly run at a subsequent step S45. Thus, a system down can be suppressed to a minimum level by detecting a trouble at an early stage to change over between the habitually used cooling pump and the spare cooling pump.
