Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a heat resistant packing without creating gap corrosion by impregnating a heat resistant metal baked material in the cavities of a porous corrosion resistant metal.
CONSTITUTION: A plastic pattern A is made by impregnating a water soluble refractory material 2 in the net like cavities 1a of foamed plastics 1, which is then dried and baked to obtain a shell B containing a refractory material 4 in the net like cavities 3a consisting of a refractory material 3. Next, a corrosion resistant metallic material is impregnated in the shell B to make a shell C having a corrosion resistant material and refractory material 4 filled in cavities 5a consisting of a corrosion resistant metal phase 5, which is then left in flowing water to wash out the refractory material 4 to obtain a corrosion resistant metallic member D consisting of a porous corrosion resistant metallic phase 5, in which a heat resistant non-metallic powder is impregnated and baked and baked to complete the desired material consisting of a corrosion resistant porous metallic phase 6 which contains a baked refractory material 7.
