Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent separation of a wiper blade having two auxiliary support members for holding a gripping member supporting a blade rubber element, by connecting the auxiliary, support members to both end of a main support member through torsional spring portions, respectively. CONSTITUTION:A wiper blade 1 comprises a blade rubber element 2 held by a gripping member 3, a pair of auxiliary support members 5 (5a, 5b), a main support member 8 supporting these auxiliary support members 5, and a connecting pin 9 secured to the main support member 8. With this arrangement, all suport members 5, 8 are made of stainless steel wire having a circular cross- section. Further, each auxiliary support member 5 is formed, in the center section thereof, with a torsional spring portion 7 and is provided, at both ends thereof, with clips 6 (6a, 6b) which are slidably fitted to one side edge of the gripping member 3. The auxiliary support members 5 are connected to the main support member 8 through the above-mentioned torsional spring portions 7 which are held by both ends of a main support member 8.
