Abstract

PURPOSE:To suppress the increase in side lobe over a wide range, by providing a subarray compensating blocking and supplying a part of a power to the subarray via a delay line. CONSTITUTION:A subarray antenna 4 is provided at the back of a power feeding array 2 and the blocking due to the primary radiator is compensated. A signal from a transmission source 6 is distributed at a power distributor 7 and given to each element antenna 3 of the array 2, and a part of the signal passes through a delay line 9 via a coupler 8 and is given to a subelement antenna 5 of the subarray 4. The increase in the side lobe can be suppressed over a wide band by suitably selecting the line length of the delay line 9 as to each delay line.
