Abstract
PURPOSE:To measure the expansion rate, expansion time and collapse time of particles by storing data in a read-write memory and operating the same. CONSTITUTION:When a sample 3 of blood or the like is sucked through fine pores 4 into a detector 5, particles are detected in accordance with the difference in impedance between the liquid and particles and the particles are detected and are converted to pulse signals in a detecting circuit 11. The signals are subjected to AD conversion in an AD conversion circuit 12, and are stored in a read-write memory 15 by an arithmetic circuit 13. The operating sequence of the circuit 13 is stored in a read-only memory 14 and cumulative value and number of particles are called from the memory 15. Mean particle volume (MPV) is calculated in the circuit 13, and is again stored in the memory 15. The change in the continuous MPV is stored by repeating this operation. The average value of the MPVs of the previous time and the time before the previous time and the average time of the MPVs of this time and the next time are compared, whereby the expansion rate, expansion time, and collapse time of the particles are measureed and the examination of blood diseases or the like is made easy.
