Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the oscillation and C cambers of a strip effectively by providing polygonal nozzles constituted of slits oblique or perpendicular to the advance direction of the strip to fluid pressure pads disposed in a non-contact state with the surface of the traveling strip. CONSTITUTION:A strip 3 which is pulled perpendicularly upward from the plating bath 1 in a plating cell 2 is passed between a pair of wiping nozzles 6, after which it is passed between fluid pressure pads 7, 7 in order to correct oscillations and C cambers. The pads 7 are constituted of the polygonal nozzles constituted of slits 8a perpendicular to the advance direction of the strip 3 and slits 8b oblique to the advance direction of the strip 3. As a result, the oscillations and C cambers of the strip 3 are prevented in a non-contact state, and the irregular temps. of the strip surface are made nil.
