Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve working efficiency of manufacturing for duplicatig master patterns having different size, by diagramatically representing the peripheral surface of a clay model with contour line patterns having optional dimensions by taking images of the clay model from different angles with a moire camera, and by performing optical copying work on materials in accordance with the diagrams.
CONSTITUTION: A clay model 1 of a master pattern for casting is fixed to a jig which can be rotated and inclined freely, and the images of the front surface 4, the left side surface 5, and the right side surface 6 of the model 1 are taken 3 with a moire camera 2. From the photographs 4, 5, and 6, the front pattern 7 and the left and right side patterns 8 and 9 of the model 1 are produced with a contour pattern having an optional dimension. On the other hand, gypsum is poured into a prescribed gypsum mold 10 and a gypsum block 11 is manufactured in advance. The gypsum block is fitted to an optical copying device and the center 13 of the block 11 is adjusted. The contour patterns 7, 8, and 9 are also fitted to the optical copying device. Then, the peripheral surface of the block 11 is worked 14, 15, and 16 by means of the optical copying work in accordance with the contour line patterns 7, 8, and 9, and a master pattern 17 for duplicating casting is finished.
