Abstract
PURPOSE:To measure and evaluate operation characteristics of a phase synchronizing circuit by providing a phase comparator in parallel to another phase comparator in a phase synchronous loop and by extracting a phase difference and a polarity by inputting a command pulse and a response pulse as a digital signals. CONSTITUTION:In addition to a phase comparator 3 in a loop constituting a phase synchronizing circuit, another phase comparator 7 for measurement is provided in parallel. A command pulse 2 and a response pulse 6 are inputted to the phase comparator 7 and then a pulse output corresponds to their phase difference is displayed on a display device 9 by way of a smoothing circuit 8. Consequently, the digital signals are used directly as signals for measuring a phase difference, so the operation characteristics of the phase synchronizing circuit are measured without influencing the circuit itself.
