Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a unit or a calorie to be easily found, by a method wherein a platform, incorporating a weighing mechanism is removably mounted to a scale body, and the scale body provides with a function key group, a numeral key group, and a control key group. CONSTITUTION:A platform 1 is connected to a scale body 3 and a power source switch 5 is turned on to produce a weighing mode. A food is then placed on a platform 1. The function key group, belonging to the food, is then selected. A key of a food name key group 7 is then selected. This indicates a unit or calorie in an indicator 4. Simultaneously, accumulated units and calories are indicated, in case the weight of the food, and the conversion of it into a unit or calorie are found to control details of a diet, the platform 1 is detached from a scale body 3. In case the unit or calorie of, for example, 100g carrot, is found, 100g is set by means of a numeral key group 8, and the groups 6 and 7 are controlled. This causes indicating of the unit or calorie in the indicator 4, and simultaneously indicates accumulated units and calories.
