Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve strength of support structure of pumps by installing elastic components radially to the periphery of a motor pump unit with their other ends fixed to the bottom of tank so that they are flexible in the axial direction but solid in the directions perpendicular to the axis.
CONSTITUTION: A support structure 18 of the pump consists of a number of flat springs 100 of a substantial length, fixed to the periphery of the pump casing 32 of a canned motor 28, and distributed radially. Other ends of these long flat springs 100 are fixed to fixed bodies 102 provided at the bottom of the tank 14. Being constituted in above stated manner, the support structure 18 supports the motor pump unit 10 flexible to the axial, up and down movement and solid in the right or left direction perpendicular to the axis, accomplishing an ideal and reliable support for submerged type pumps.
