Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve efficiency of assembling, processing and working by tapering a ball retaining window of a bar field type uniform joint in such a manner as to be spread out inward of a cage. CONSTITUTION:The upper and lower edges of a cage 2' are tapered such a manner as to be spread out inwards. The upper and lower edges of a window portion have an angle alpha of about 10 deg. with a horizontal direction, whereby as the cage is inclined, an initial pressing rate is increased on the side of pushing up the cage, while the ball pressing rate is decreased on the opposite side. This results in preventing a lock phenomenon due to a load difference for sliding a ball. A window width working can be accomplished only by inclining a tool shaft at a certain set amount. It is not necessary to apply grease to a ball at time of assembly. Thus, efficiency of assembling, processing and working can be improved.
