Abstract
PURPOSE:To make a drying speed slow and to enhance the surface quality of a product, in an apparatus for dip-coating a substrate for use as a photosensitive element with a photosensitive agent, by arranging a cover which surrounds the substrate raised from a coating in a drying step. CONSTITUTION:An elevating stand 11, on which a coating liquid 22-injected vessel 12 is mounted, is raised by feed screws 7a, 7b and a chain 9, to an upper limit position without interception by a drum substrate 15 for a photosensitive element or a cover 14, and then stopped. The drum substrate 15 is sealed with covers 16, 17 attached to a support shaft 18, so that the drum substrate 15 is completely dipped into the coating liquid in accordance with the rise of the vessel 12 without penetration of the coating liquid into its interior. Thereafter, the elevating stand 11 is lowered, so as to make the drum substrate 15 in a taken-out state, and drying is started. The drum substrate 15 is surrounded with the cover 14 whose opening is sealed, so that the drum substrate 15 is gradually dried in an atmosphere into which the invasion of moisture from the air is intercepted and solvent vapor is filled therein.
