Abstract

PURPOSE: To develop a portable instrument for measuring control rotating angles and braking time of press machines and the like by containing an encoder interlocked to a revolving shaft, and electronic measuring devices and a digital display device connected thereto in the same case.
CONSTITUTION: As a portable device that can easily and accurately measure the controlled rotating angle (braking distance) and braking time required for braking of a press machine or the like, a revolving shaft 2 mounted with a frictional rotator 3 is projected from a carrying case 1, and an encoder 4, an electronic device 5 and power source cells 6 interlocked to this and a digital display device 7 are contained in the case 1. While the rotator 3 pressed to the end face of the rotary cam shaft of the press machine, it is revolved to rotate the slit plate of the encoder 4. In this state, a stop signal is inputted to the press machine. The controlled rotating angle since the press machine starts stopping until it stops rotating is measured together with the time, whereby the controlled rotating angle and time are accurately measured and the braking performance of the press machine is easily measured.
