Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance dust collecting capacity by a method wherein steam is blown into a dust contained waste gas as pretreatment in a purifying process and rapidly mixed in and contacted with said waste gas to form large dust particles to which steam is condensed and, thereby, an application range is widen.
CONSTITUTION: A dust contained waste gas is mixed with steam from a steam injection pipe 8 rapidly and forcedly in a high speed mixing machine 1 equipped with a propeller apparatus 6 and, in a supersaturated atmosphere, the dust takes heat from steam to carry out steam condensation and formed into a large aggregated particle. The resulting large dust particle receives injection of shower water in a condensing water injection chamber 10 communicated with a dust coagulating and collecting pipe 5 to be converted to a cooled low temp. saturated condition and is adhered to cooling water and introduced into a cyclone type gas-liquid separator 17 through an exhaust cooling and condensing pipe 16 and the dust descended along with the waste gas is fallen into water in a lower part by gravity and centrifugal force and mixed into water. Therefore, the raising waste gas is sucked from an exhaust pipe 22 as a dustless gas.
