Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to easily coat exposed parts of cover main bodies by a method wherein inside surfaces of a pair of covers are faced to each other and the cover main bodies are clamped to each other so that the exposed parts thereof can be coated.
CONSTITUTION: The inside surface of the main bodies 12A of the pair of covers 12 are faced to each other, and an annular masking jig 15 which contacts the lower- end peripheral parts 14 of the main bodies 12A to mask the peripheral parts 14 is set between the main bodies 12A. Then, the main bodies 12A are clamped to each other by one or more clips 17 provided with projections 18 which are fitted into grip-fitting holes 16 of the main bodies 12A, in such a manner that the masking jig 5 closes the gap between the main bodies 12A. Then, a hanger 20 is passed through holes 19 provided for the clip 17 and the main bodies 12A are suspended, in which condition the exposed parts of the main bodies 12A are coated.
