Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the titled safe and non-irritant remedy, usable in home for a long period, by using cetyltrimethylammonium chloride as an active component.
CONSTITUTION: A remedy for athlete's foot is prepared by using cetyltrimethylammonium chloride of formula as an active component. The remedy containing about 0.1% of the active component is applied to the diseased part. The remedy may contain other active components such as naphthionate, rivanol, griseofulvin, trichomycin, zinc undecylenate, benzalkonium chloride, etc., agents for mitigating the itchness, such as antihistaminic agent, emmollients for corneous tissue such as salicylic acid, etc. Pref. it is applied in the form of ointment for the moist symptom and of liquid for the dry sympton.
