Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate to move theater seats by casters, by a method wherein an arm provided with a caster is attached to the leg of seat, and the arm is vertically movable to the end of a leg.

The shifting devices 6 are equipped to both ends of a base 5. The shifting device is composed of a fitting frame 9, a perpendicular supporting rod 10 supported vertically by the frame 9, an arm 12 provided with casters 11 on both fore and aft ends of it, a constraint cam piece 13 to constrain the rise of an arm 12, and a release lever 14 to remove the constraint of a constraint cam piece 13. When seats are raised up at the time of their movements, casters 11 provided to an arm 12 are projected downward by the extending force of a spring 21, and seats can be easily moved by these casters.
