Abstract
PURPOSE:To use always ink with suitable thickness in operation, by a method in which one of the two ink tanks for supplying ink under pressure and another ink tank for recovering, are used in alternating mutually and liquid used for dilution is supplied after the thickness of the recovered ink from a gutter is inspected. CONSTITUTION:When an ink tank 1 and anothr ink tank 2 are set for supply and recovery respectively, the tank 1 is pressurized by opening a valve V1 and closing a valve V2, and is sent to a head part 10 under pressure by opening an intermediate valve. Then, P-Q of a three way valve 4 is opened and the inside of the tank 2 is changed to atomosphere pressure. The ink collected in a gutter 14 is recovered in the tank 2 by opening the intermediate valve from the gutter 14, When the ink volume in the tank 1 is decreased, a liquid level detector detects the ink level, thereby opening the valve 2. Accordingly, the tank 2 and the tank 1 are used as a supply tank and a recovery tank respectively. The evaporated moisture from the recovered ink through the gutter 14 is calculated by a control means. Then the liquid used for dilution which is equivalent to the evaporated moisture is poured into the recovery tank 1 or 2 from a dilution liquid tank 17. The recovered ink is again utilized after the viscosity of said ink has been always corrected to a normal value.
