CONSTITUTION:The shaft type continuous annealing furnace comprises an internal partition wall 8 that is positioned at the upper part of the furnace body, can be moved into and out of the line, and has a center partition wall 7 depending into the furnace, and the fore-chamber 4 positioned thereabove consisting of side walls and the upper partition wall 3 that can be moved into an out of the line. The fore- chamber center partition wall 7' depends generally from the center of the upper partition wall 8 at the upper part of the fore-chamber 4 so that the fore-chamber 4 is divided into zones.
