Abstract
PURPOSE:To position automatically an actuator correctly, by oscillating the actuator in the direction of the optical axis of an object lens and by stopping the oscillation when a required focus error signal is detected and by performing the focus adjustment on the basis of the error signal. CONSTITUTION:An actuator 1 is oscillated in the direction of the optical axis through a sawtooth wave generating circuit 41, a motor driving circuit 40, and a motor 15 to bring an object lens fitted to the actuator 1 into a range where autofocusing due to a focusing driving mechanism is possible. A required focus error signal is detected through an optical system 33 and a focus error signal detecting circuit 34, and a focusing point is detected by a focus detecting circuit 37, and at this time, the circuit 41 is stopped to operate a focusing driving circuit 39. When DC components of the error signal is fluctuated by the warp or the like of a disc 32, the actuator 1 displaced in the direction of the optical axis through DC components detecting circuit 38 and the driving circuit 40. Thus, the actuator is always positioned correctly.
