Abstract
PURPOSE:To utilize effectively the recording capacity of a recording medium and to obtain a simple, small-scale, and cheap recording method, by reading out information approximately simultaneously with recording it by one light beam. CONSTITUTION:Information to be recorded passes through a modulating circuit 29, a high-speed amplifiers 30 which has one terminal set to the read level, and a current amplifier 32 and drives a semiconductor laser 21. The beam of the semiconductor laser 21 is focused onto a disc 27 through a collimate lens 22, a beam splitter 23, a 1/4-wavelength plate 24, and an object lens 25. The reflection beam is made incident to a disc 28 through the beam splitter 23. The output is compared through an amplifier 33 with the threshold due to a resistor 35 by a comparator 34, and the difference is sent to a gate circuit 36 as a bit signal. Bit information from the comparator 34 is sampled by a gate pulse from a timing circuit 37 which is synchronized with the output of the modulating circuit 29. Thus, the recording capacity of the disc is utilized effectively to obtain a simple, small-scale, and cheap recording method.
