A digital audio signal at caller side 1B reaches the reception terminal R of the codec circuit 3A of caller side through a gate GS2 of an inversion gate circuit 8B, highway 9B, and gate GR1 of gate GS2 of an inversion gate circuit 8A from the transmission terminal S of the codec circuit 8B. Thus, the call between subscriber telephone sets 1A, 1B can be made mutually with only one time slot TA.
