Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance light condensing efficiency, to prevent light from leaking to a drum as well as to miniaturize a machine, by condensing a light emitted from a light source to an original face through a cylindrical convex lens fixed to a flat mirror. CONSTITUTION:A light emitted from a light source 46 is condensed into a parallel light by reflecting it, for example, with a parabolic mirror 48, and condensed on an original on its placing plate 49 with a cylindrical convex lens 44 fixed to a flat mirror 43. Its reflected light is allowed to form an image on a photosensitive drum 1 with a series of short-focus lenses. Use of the short-focus cylindrical convex lens enhances a condensing efficiency, and prevents light leakage to the drum 1 as well as miniaturizes a machine.
