Abstract

PURPOSE:To save thermal energy and integrate waste treatment equipment by installing a volume decreasing device for plastics in combination with a waste incineration device, and reusing the high temp. waste gas of the incineration device for heating of said volume decreasing device. CONSTITUTION:High temp. waste gas (e) from a waste incineration furnace is passed through a waste heat boiler 11, an electrical dust precipitator 12, an induction fan 13, a toxic gas remover 14, and a steam type heater 15 and is released from a chimney 16. Here, the temp. of the gas at the outlet of the precipitator 12 is 260 deg.C, and therefore, it is introduced into a heating volume decreasing device 17 of a volulme decreasing device (p) for waste plastics to melt waste plastics, thereby including and mixing granular inorg. materials such as sand, debris, crushed stone, and the like. These are discharged integrally. The waste gas is passed through a suspended solids removing device 18, and a cyclone 19, by which it is purified. The purified gas is fed to the fan 13, and part thereof is fed to the device 17. Since the waste plastics melt to have considerably decreased volume, the treatment is easy.
