Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a catalyst reactor which is easy to pack and withdraw catalysts and is suited for treatment of gases contg. particularly much dust by mounting plate-like perforated bodies directly to a catalyst frame on the gas inflow surface side of parallel flow, without charging the catalyst. CONSTITUTION:A catalyst block 2 is constituted of plural catalyst units 5, an outer frame 6 containing these units, and a wire net 7 extended on the gas inflow side of the frame 6. Further, the units 5 are constituted of catalyst elements 9 of a flat plate shape and inside frames 9 containing these elements 8. Said net 7 can be mounted to the frame 6 before the block 2 is installed into the reactor. Hence, packing work is completed simply by installing the block 2 mounted beforehand with the net 7 into the reactor. The withdrawal of the catalysts necessitates simply withdrawing the block 2 as it is. The work associated to the packing and withdrawing of the catalysts in the rector is considerably reduced.
