Abstract

PURPOSE:To collect most of mist in exhaust gas by means of a collision plate and enable to separte sample for collection, by a method wherein the collision plate is positioned facing and opposite to a jet port of an exhaust gas feed nozzle. CONSTITUTION:A bagform filter housing pipe 1 has an opening 2 at the front and an opening 3, connected to a suction pump, at the rear. The sphericl surface of the opening 2 is adhered firmly to an outer spherical surface of a conical part 5 so that airtightness is maintained, and a cover member 4 consists of a cylinder 6 whereto a bagform filter 7 is securely attached by means of a tightening band 14. An exhaust gas feed nozzle 8 is inserted along a center axis of a conical part 5. With a suction pump actuated, exhaust gas is sucked, and collides with a collision plate 11 from a jet port 9 through the nozzle 8. Most of mist is collected at the collision plate 11, and the rest is fed in the bag-form filter 7 from an opening of a pipe 10 after passing through a vent hole 12. All mist is filtered and collected at the bagform filter 7. Even if the mist percolates through said filter 7, it accumulates in a housing pipe 1, and thereby it does not flow to the outside.
