Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide an effective recovery of sensitive heat of hot waste gas by a method wherein a hot waste gas and an air are flowed in a crossed manner or opopsitely flowed to face with each other in a plate type heat exchanger unit arranged adjacent to a gas exchanging unit between the gas exchanging unit of furnace and the heat accumulation chamber.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of ports 2 are arranged at both sides of a melting chamber 1, both right and left heat accumulation chambers 3, 4 are connected to the ports, chimneys 5, 6 are connected to each of the chambers, and resulting in making a combined chimney assembly 8. In this chimney assembly 8 is arranged a gas exchanging unit 7. Cross-flow type plate heat exchanging unit 15 is installed adjacent to the gas exchanging unit 7, some groups of units 22 are arranged in a rhomb in which different kinds of fluids are flowed in a cross pattern in adjoining heat exchaning units. Thus, gas exchanging unit 7, blower units 13 or 14 are operated every specified period of time so as to perform a changing-over of waste gas and the air. When the air is supplied as shown in a dotted arrow, the air is heated in advance by the unit 22 and the waste gas, and finally heated by a right heat accumulation chamber 4 and then supplied as a combustion air.
