Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain high collecting efficiency and reproducibility, by a method wherein a filter to collect metal elements contained within a solution, space is constituted between filter elements and specimen water is contacted throughout the filter. CONSTITUTION:A holder 1 encloses support screens 11 in multiple stages, and a Millipore filter 2, an anion filter 3 and a cation filter 4 are set on reprective support screens 11. The Millipore filter 2 collects non-soluble constitutent of metal elements in a solution, the anion filter 3 collects anion constituent, and the cation filter 4 collects cation constituent. If specimen water is allowed to flow in the direction of an arrow 12 and out of direction of an arrow 13, the specimen water is mixed and stirred within spaces 10 between the filters and contacted with surface throughout the filters 2-4, thereby high collecting efficiency and reproducibility are obtained.
