Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce electric power of consumption remarkably by a method wherein a variable displacement pump of small capacity is provided in parallel to a main pump as a leak compensation, maintains pressure on a load side and consumes power according to a load.
CONSTITUTION: The variable displacement pump of small capacity 8 is provided in parallel to the main pump 3. When no flow is required on the load side by the continuous operation of the variable displacement pump or the main pump 3 is stopped, pressure is maintained on the load side. The load current of a motor 9 for the pump 8 is satisfied with less than one-tenth of that of a motor 2 for the main pump 3. Beside, the pump 8 is of variable displacement and only the flow necessary for maintaining the pressure on the load side is discharged automaticlly and nothing unnecessary is conducted. In this case, since the main pump also is not in motion, the electric power for maintaining pressure is of the necessary minimum and the quantity of power of consumption can be reduced remarkably.
