Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent excessive ink from attaching to a wire and a print and from smudging thereof by a method wherein an ink adsorbing member having dot holes, a spacer and an ink wiping member are provided in sequence on the wire guide parts at the tip of the printer head. CONSTITUTION:The wire tip holding part 1 of a printer head comprises a tip guide member 2, an ink adsorbing member 3, a spacer 4 and an ink wiping member 5 which are combined sequentially and the side of the ink wiping member 5 is provided to face the printing paper 7 of a platen 6. On each member 2, 3, 4, 5 dot holes 8, 9, 10, 11 through which wires 16 are penetrated are formed by the same number as the number of the wires 16. The ink adsorbing member 3 to which ink is supplied from an ink tank 18 is made up of felt or the like and supplies ink to the wires 16. The ink wiping member 5 is made up of fibers or sponge or the like and has rings 20 made up of fiber threads at the open edge of the dot holes 8 to wipe off excessive ink of the wires 16.
