Abstract
PURPOSE:To automatically return a machine tool to a discontinued position after processing its fault, by discontinuing a main working cycle, and saving a numerical control state in case of discontinuance, to a save register, when a fault of the machine tool has been detected in the course of execution of the main working cycle. CONSTITUTION:A machine tool 1 is operated by an execution program 15 in an NC device 10, and is operated by a main working program in an NC memory 11. Plural pieces of information are inputted to an external controller CT2 through a signal line HL from the machine 1, the CT2 monitors a state, and when it detects a fault, it outputs an interruption signal IR to an interruption receiving circuit 13, discontinues the main working, and stores a present position NP, a tool number TN, and rotational frequency of a main shaft PV in a shunt register 12. The CT2 outputs a number designating signal Sp in accordance with contents of the fault, selects and outputs SBP in the memory 11 through a subprogram SBP number register 14, and executes its SBP. When it is completed, automatic return is operated on the discontinued point, and each value stored in the register 12 is read out, which is made a command value.
