Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare the titled printing ink which can be cured by electron ray irradiation in a short time, enabling the ink-on-ink printing, by using a polymerizable monomer, oligomer, etc. having a polymerizable functional group such as acryloyl group, and a colorant as main components.
CONSTITUTION: The ink is obtained by kneading (A) at least one polymerizable monomer, oligomer, or prepolymer having polymerizable functional group selected from acryloyl group, methacryloyl group, and allyl group in the molecule[e.g. methyl acrylate: the amount is pref. ≥20wt% in the ink composition], (B) a colorant (pref. 1W30% in the ink), and if necessary (C) adjuvants (wax, stabilizer, defoaming agent, levelling agent, sag preventing agent, etc.) The ink is printed to a substrate by screen printing, and cured by electron ray irradiation. The process is repeated to obtain a multi-color print.
USE: Printing of a substrate such as paper, cloth, plastic sheet, metal plate, glass, porcelain, inorganic board, etc.
