Abstract

PURPOSE: A polyethylene composition that is produced by adding a specific amide to polyethylene, thus being suitably used for molded product with thick walls,because of its markedly improved resistance of environmental stress-cracking.
CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. of polyethylene, e.g., a low-density polyethylene of 0.915W0.935g/cm3 density are kneaded with 0.05W0.35pts. of a saturated or unsaturated fatty acid bisamide, preferably N,N'-ethylenebisstearoamide.
