Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance printability, adhesiveness and embossing property of a sheet surface by abrading and washing a surface of a microporous sheet prepared by molding and orienting a thermoplastic resin highly filled with an inorg. filler into a sheet like form.
CONSTITUTION: A thermoplastic synthetic resin (e.g.; PE) high filled with an inorg. filler (e.g.; CaCO3) is, for example, extruded from a die 1 into a sheet like form and the resultant sheet is oriented by an orientation machine 2 to form a microporous sheet. To the resultant porous sheet, water is scattered from a nozzle 4 to wash the same and, at the same time, a sheet surface thereof is abraded by a roll 7 having a contact body 3 such as a sponge or the like. Subsequently, water is blown off by a blower 5 and, thereafter, said sheet surface is heated and dried by a dryer 6 to obtain a sheet suitable for a wall paper, a package paper or the like.
