Abstract
PURPOSE: To make a shell light in weight and restrain vibration of the master cylinder in the directions up and down as well as to the right and left by setting the intershaft distance, in the vertical direction, of a pair of tie rods penetrating the front and rear walls of the shell, larger than the intershaft distance in the direction to the right and left.
CONSTITUTION: The front and rear walls of a shell 1 are coupled by a pair of tie rods 30. Flange 36 of the master cylinder M is installed by a bolt 33 at the foremost part of this rod 30, which is secured to the front wall W of the cabin by another bolt 39 at the backmost part. The tie rods 30 with the center axis of the shell 1 interposed are arranged extending in parallel with this axis with a certain spacing in the directions up and down as well as to the right and left. The intershaft distance (a), in the vertical direction, of the tie rods 30 is set larger than the intershaft distance (b) in the direction to the right and left. Accordingly, the tie rods 30 in the pair up and down and the flanges 36 of the front wall W and master cylinder M form a rigid framing square in the direction to the front and back and aslant up and down.
