Abstract

PURPOSE:To receive a sure broadcasting signal only, by providing a circuit which reduces the gain of a high frequency amplifier by a prescribed amount in response to a signal indicating that preset operation is made and neglecting a weak broadcast signal for a receiver. CONSTITUTION:In a reduction circuit 14, a series circuit of a resistor R3 and a transistor (TR)Q1 is connected between the connecting point of resistors R1, R2 and ground, and a resistor R5 is connected between a channel selector 12 and the base of the TRQ1 and a resistor R4 is connected between the base and ground. While the channel selector 12 is in search operation with an automatic preset mode with a keyboard 13, the TRQ1 turns on with a low level signal outputted from the channel selector 12, an AGC voltage is reduced via a voltage dividing resistor R3 and the gain of a high frequency amplifier 2 is attenuated and weak broadcast signals can be neglected.
